Happy day back from the long weekend, everyone! Coming back from 4 days off to work and to-do lists and schedules isn’t ideal, but when you love what you do, it’s a little bit easier.
So, it’s FINALLY almost the end of February and while it is still somewhat overcast here in Southern California, Spring is quickly approaching (fingers crossed)!
Not gonna lie, when I dug one of my favorite pair of denim shorts out of my drawer and put them on, my legs were whiter than snow. My legs have not seen sun in WAY TO LONG. Shooting with one of my new blogger babes (Caroline from Life With Lina – go check out her work!!!!) got me so excited for summer and warm weather and lazy beach days in SoCal. Lounging around in a bikini with a frozen marg (preferably with a cute little umbrella in it) in my hand is where you will be finding me all weekend once the temperature allows.
We sat down at Juice Served Here in LVM and fell in love with its design. They have coffee and eats as well as bottled juice to-go. An ideal stop.
We met up at Lido Village Market which is this incredible trendy and cute new market place in Newport that is being remodeled and a ton of new shops are opening up. They already have a Planet Blue that is open and they are finishing up the Nobu Newport location. I think I know where I will be all summer.
Blogging is hard work, no matter what people say/think, and finding other people who are just as passionate about it as you are, is wonderful! It’s also fun to find people who are awesome and can become your blogger bffs <3 Blogger girl squads are definitely a thing.
This Free People babydoll top I actually purchased a little while ago and now, as I’m searching, I can’t find it anywhere which is extremely unfortunate because I love it and wanted it in other colors but I will link multiple similar tops. This short sleeve babydoll top from Urban Outfitters is almost identical to the Free People one. This cute tie front babydoll top from Nordstrom is on my wish list and is super affordable! I got this watch ages ago at AmericasMart during market week from a cash & carry showroom so I have no idea where it was distributed but I found a pretty (and pricey) version from Nordstrom here.
I will be doing a post on my favorite denim shorts later on, but the ones I’m wearing are from a few seasons ago. Most of my favorite fitting shorts are from Urban Outfitters or Joe’s from Nordstrom. Finding good shorts, or good denim in general, is always a hard task for me so I will be searching far and wide for the perfect pairs. I will be trying these BDG from Urban Outfitters and also these 7’s from Nordy.
These TOMS wedge booties are everything. I wear them all of the time and they go with everything. This EXACT pattern isn’t available but an almost identical pattern is available here from Nordstrom. Hats will also be a major staple heading into Spring so I have linked a similar camel color here from Forever 21.
Well, it’s time to reply to emails, drink lots of coffee, and day dream about future blog posts!
There will be another fun and nautical-esque outfit up on Friday AND I have a ton of fun partnerships in store in the next few weeks/months too which is super exciting – stay tuned!
