Friday Fave: Agave Healing Oil Treatment

Y’all, I am super excited about starting this series. As you guys know, I am a lover of products. I have an obsession with trying new beauty products and my bathroom is FULL of products I’ve tried and loved or tried and hated. As I am preparing to move a little ways down PCH to Huntington, I am packing up my things (again) and organizing all of my products on top of trying to fit in the new ones I am accumulating as the weeks go on.

I try products from makeup to hair to skincare to shower goodies to anything that promises to make my skin soft and glowy or my hair voluminous and shinny. I’m a sucker for good packaging…

Along with buying tons of products that I see other bloggers using, brands often reach out to me with new products that they want me to try and review so I thought that this series would be a good way to incorporate those products onto my blog. This series also lends to the idea of starting up a YouTube channel, which is something I have been thinking a lot about.

This week’s product I am loving is my new favorite hair oil from the brand Agave.

Hair background: I have pretty thin hair but lots of it. It tends to get oily after a while but I normally go 2 days between washes. Dry shampoo is one of my fave products to try out for this reason. BUT even though greasy-grossness is my main problem, flyaway’s and frizz have been creeping into my hair regime and I have no idea why! So I have been trying to use certain conditioners, placing it on certain areas of my hair after shampooing as to not make the hair near my scalp greasy but keep the ends moisturized. I’ve tried pastes and hairspray and many other products which have worked somewhat, but not as well as I’ve hoped. I tried a deep conditioning moroccan oil one night and while my hair felt a little heavy and needed to be washed the next day, I could tell my hair was finally getting the nourishment it needed!

I had been searching for a hair oil that I could run through my hair to maintain the frizzies without overloading on the oil when Agave reached out to me about their new healing oil treatment and it was the perfect timing!

The first thing I noticed about the Agave Hair Oil Treatment was the amazing smell! I love when my products smell light but beautiful and this one certainly does. I pushed a generous drop into my palm and rubbed my fingers together to spread it around and then ran my fingers throughout the tips of my hair and around where my flyaway’s tend to occur. I smoothed the rest evenly throughout my hair and continued with my normal styling process. This oil made my hair SO soft and blow drying was a total breeze. I could tell a difference immediately.

I think that the first time I used it I may have applied to much as my hair was definitely showing signs of oil the next day, but the second time I applied I was more careful with application and amount and my hair seriously felt like a dream!

The Agave Healing Oil secret is their use of the Agave plant in their products. They also use Amino Sugars to lock moisture in your hair, which targets those unmanageable frizzies that I have been battling recently. I also value cruelty free items very highly as well as organic products. This product is cruelty free as well as paraben, sulfate, and phthalate free.

The instructions say to use the oil treatment about 3 times a week or as needed, which is really what I do. I use it basically every other wash. It keeps my hair soft and smooth and shiny and I have been raving about this product since I received it!
